Five CATERPILAR 3512B diesel engine generator sets are combined to generate 3 phase 600V 50Hz alternating current to feed the VFD cubicles. The alternating current is rectified and reversed to 0-600V, 0-150Hz continuous and adjustable alternating current for driving electric motors of drawworks, rotary table, and mud pumps. The drawworks is driven by four 720kW AC motors; the rotary table is driven by one 720kW AC motor; and each mud pump is driven by one 1200kW AC motor.“K” type mast and slingshot type substructure. The mast by drawworks while the substructure is raised by two hydraulic winches. The drawworks adopts air cooling hydraulic disc brake as main brake and dynamic braking as auxiliary brake. The mud pumps use narrow V-belt transmission. and substructure are installed on the ground; the mast is raised.
